Exhibition of African-American Quilts at UC Davis' Nelson Gallery

Where: Art Building, Nelson Gallery
When: September 24-December 13, 2009
Opening Reception: Thurs., October 1, 5:30-7:30 PM

Contains fine examples of quilts made by former slaves, and also 21st century creations informed by time-honored veins of African-American quilting.  The exhibit comes from the collection of Avis Robinson of Washington DC and Sandra McPherson of Davis.
