Methods:

The Current Population sample is a multistage stratified sample of approximately 50,000 households from about 800 sample areas designed to measure demographic and labor force characteristics of the civilian non-institutional population. The CPS's November Voting and Registration Supplement provides demographic information on persons who did and did not register to vote, as well as the number of persons who voted and reasons for note voting.
