Ahna Ballonoff Suleiman is an educator, youth advocate, and transdisciplinary developmental scientist with a passion for community engagement. She has over 30 years of experience working in non-profit, government, and academic contexts, both globally and domestically, integrating best practices from public health, social justice, human ecology, meaningful youth engagement, and the science of adolescence to develop programs and policies that improve adolescent sexual and reproductive health and overall mental health and wellbeing. As an organizational leader, Ahna is dedicated to building bridges between diverse partners and creating healthy work environments where people can grow, learn and thrive.  Ahna completed her postdoctoral training and interdisciplinary Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) at the UC Berkeley and her MPH at UNC Chapel Hill. She is a member of the Yolo County Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Advisory Board.  Ahna loves reading, cooking, learning from the wise young people in her life, and hiking with her dog.
