Bio

Hello, my name is Teah Jackson (she/her) and I am a third year Community and Regional Development major here at UC Davis. I have a serious interest in learning about methods of economic development, with special attention to the African-American community. As a young African-American, I have seen first hand how a lack of resources may negatively impact communities. My interest in such has also highlighted how resource disparities may affect those of different backgrounds. I believe attempting to understand the root of such issues helps cultivate a bigger picture which can be utilized for future projects. Such is why I am so excited to connect with other people and work with Capital City Black Nurses Association for the Breaking Down Barriers to Nursing project.
