Student Scholar Awards

The CRC proudly hosts two Student Awards - the Ted Bradshaw Student Engaged Scholars Program and the Isao Fujimoto Research Award. The goal of these awards is to create opportunities for students to deepen their leadership, applied research, and community engagement skills through hands-on experiential learning.  Students are eligible to apply for one award during each application cycle.

For the 2025-2026 cycle, applications for both awards will open September 22 and close November 7, 2025.  The scholars’ will complete their work between January and June 2026.

Students selected for both awards will:

  • Work on their projects 6-10 hours per week during Winter and Spring quarters 2026.

  • Receive a $1500 stipend to support their engagement.

  • Have the opportunity to attend CRC hosted professional development meetings and events.

  • Have access to and support from CRC staff.

  • Present their work to an audience of peers, faculty, and community partners.

The awards also have important distinctions. Please review the information for each award to determine which award you are eligible for and interested in applying for.  If you have questions about either award, please contact us at crcinfo@ucdavis.edu.
