2019 Bradshaw Scholar
Alex is a transfer re-entry student studying Community and Regional Development with a focus on health care and economic development in rural communities. He currently has his own massage therapy practice and has successfully pioneered for the past four years a trauma-informed, social justice based business model. After graduation, Alex plans on expanding his business model into a patient-practitioner cooperative with hopes of further graduate study on somatic intelligence as an ontological basis for new forms of business and economic relationships. As a Bradshaw Scholar, he will be working with Keith Taylor performing institutional analyses of co-operatives and economic development organizations. In his free time, Alex has a passion for cooking from scratch and an experiential/experimental approach to history and anthropology.
