Neighborhoods Owning Power, Action, and Leadership (NOPAL) Logistics & Communications Coordinator
Center for Regional Change
George Villa is finishing his first year as a double major in community and regional development and Chicanx studies. He is currently the logistics and communications coordinator for Neighborhoods Owning Power, Action, and Leadership Project (NOPAL); a partnership between the UC Davis Center for Regional Change and four community-based organizations in central California, where he plays a lead role in coordinating and mentoring NOPAL fellows. Villa is also the director for Team Villa Boxing Gym, a non-profit gym in east Salinas that is inclusive of all youth. His aspiration is to continue his higher education in community and regional development, bring back conceptual tools to his hometown, and to be an agent for social and environmental change. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cross-fit, fitness coaching, and reading. Villa is the proud uncle of the young, rising professional star boxer, Ruben Villa IV.
