2020 Bradshaw Scholar
Lydia is a fourth-year double majoring in International Agricultural Development and Communication, and minoring in German. Her interests surround regenerative agriculture, economic and community development, and empowerment of marginalized groups, that in which all intersect in one field: the cooperative model. She was first exposed to this alternative business structure when she interned on an all-organic, all-natural, indigenous tea farm in the mountains of Taiwan. Through the Bradshaw Scholar Program and working with Keith Taylor, she aims to grow more in her experience with and knowledge of the cooperative sector. As her long-term goal, Lydia hopes to economically empower smallholder farmers in developing countries.
