2018 Bradshaw Scholar
Center for Regional Change
Naomi Lopez graduated from UC Davis in June 2017 with a B.S. in community and regional development. She is taking a gap year before graduate school working at the Law Office of Douglas Lehrman, who specializes in immigration cases and mostly works around the changing policies. Lopez plans to pursue her career in public policy and affordable housing, focusing on undocumented/minority communities and the implementation of intersectional approaches to local research, outreach, and funding. As a Bradshaw Scholar, she is working with Darryl Rutherford, the director of the nonprofit Sacramento Housing Alliance, researching census data, mapping data, and creating comprehensive graphs for Yolo County. This data will be used for future policies and larger research projects for SHA.
