2020 Bradshaw Scholar
Sergio Maravilla is a first-generation college student from Modesto, CA who is now attending the University of California, Davis. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Regional Development with an emphasis in Global Communities and has had the opportunity to study abroad in Vienna, Austria in August 2019 as well as Kathmandu, Nepal in December 2019. He has held internships with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research in Sacramento, Capitol Office internships with California legislators, and also has a research position with the Center for Regional Change housed at UC Davis. Outside of his academics and internships, he is also a building manager for a facility on campus, a tour guide for the university, and also serves as an At-Large Member for the Chancellor's Undergraduate Advisory Board for Chancellor Gary May. His biggest accomplishments, however, include his founding of both the Chicanx Latinx Collegiate Association (CLCA) at UC Davis as well as the Latinx Leadership Council (LLC), in addition to his new position as Undergraduate Representative for the Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association (CLAA) as well.
