Please join the UC Davis Department of Human Ecology for a presentation by Dr. Cornelia Butler Flora, titled "The Community Capitals Framework: Integrating the Global at the Local Level."  Dr. Flora is a Research Professor at Kansas State University and a Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor of Agriculture and Sociology at Iowa State University.  She has over four decades of experience in asset-based community development using community capitals: natural, cultural, human, social, political, financial, and built.  Her current research addresses alternative strategies of community development and community-based natural resource management in light of changing socio-technical regimes and climate change.  Learn more at her upcoming presentation.  The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Regional Change.
