The Human Right to Water
Voices of Water
A Short Film By Viva Parsa and Marguerite Kise
Despite California passing The Human Right to Water Bill in 2012 (AB 685), clean, accessible, and affordable water is still not a reality in many California communities. Working in tandem with Sacramento's Environmental Justice Coalition for Water, UC Davis Center for Regional Change interns Viva Parsa and Marguerite Kise collected qualitative data from secondary research and interviews, and produced a film that disperses the stories of people actively engaged in conversations about water and environmental justice throughout CA. This film/research project aims to answer the question: What are the recommend strategies for community and individual action regarding water equity?
