Bio

Chris Elmendorf is Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Law at UC Davis. His varied teaching and research interests include election law, property and land-use law, statutory interpretation, and administrative law. He is an expert on California’s Housing Element Law, the planning framework through which the state attempts to prod cities and counties into accommodating their share of regionally needed housing. He has published widely in top journals in law and political science.
