Bio

Noli Brazil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Ecology.  His core research area is spatial demography with a particular interest in understanding how macro level processes impact local scale phenomena.  He is specifically interested in examining the causes and consequences of neighborhood inequality.  He also examines residential mobility and its consequences for neighborhood attainment outcomes and Hispanic migration patterns to and within the United States.  Noli earned a Ph.D. in Demography from the University of California, Berkeley and was a postdoc at the Center for Research on Inequalities and the Life Course at Yale University and the Spatial Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California.
