Research for a Stronger, More Inclusive Democracy
In 2010, Mindy Romero founded the California Civic Engagement (CCEP) at the CRC based on the understanding that an inclusive democratic system can help overcome disparities in social and economic well-being, and can improve health, education, and employment outcomes for all Californians.  The CCEP has since evolved into a nationally-respected, non-partisan civic engagement research center that provides data and analysis to inform public dialogue about representative governance.  Mindy and the CCEP have become a go-to source for legislators and other public officials, non-profit organizations, and the media for cutting-edge research and analysis.  Notable topics include changes in the Latino electorate, new voter party affiliations, young adult voting profiles, and the ballot initiative process.  

As of July 1, 2018, the CCEP will have moved to its new home at the University of Southern California's Sol Price School of Public Policy, housed at the Price School's Sacramento location.  For publications released while the CCEP was housed at the Center for Regional Change, see below:
